This policy explains what The House of Mann collects when you visit thehouseofmann.com, write to us or buy from the shop, and what we do with it. We only collect what we need to answer you, make your order and get it to you.
What we collect
When you buy something. Payment happens on Stripe's secure checkout page. Your card or wallet details (such as Apple Pay or Google Pay) go straight to Stripe. They never reach our website, and we never see your full card number. From Stripe we receive your name, email address, phone number and the address you give at checkout, along with what you bought, what you paid, any discount code you used, and the shipping and tax charged. We keep this as the record of your order.
When you check shipping prices. To show shipping options in the bag, we use the country, postal code and state you choose, and the weight of the order. When we use a live shipping rate service, only these details are sent to it, not your name.
When you buy a digital download. We email you a private download link and keep count of how many times it has been used, so the link can stop working after its set number of downloads or days.
When we invoice you for a custom piece. We send the invoice through Stripe, with your name, email address and what the piece is.
When you write to us. The contact form asks for your name, email address and message. The custom order form also asks about the piece you want, such as its type, your budget and any deadline, and lets you add your Instagram handle, your measurements and reference photos. Both forms are sent to our email inbox. The website itself does not keep a copy.
Technical information. Like any website, our server sees your IP address and the pages you ask for. We use IP addresses to stop spam on our forms, and our server keeps standard logs to keep the site running and secure.
Cookies and browser storage
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not track you across other websites. Your shopping bag is kept in your own browser so it is still there when you come back, and the site remembers your light or dark setting during your visit. The only cookie our site sets is the login for our own admin area.
Videos from YouTube only load when you press play, and then from YouTube's privacy enhanced player (youtube-nocookie.com). Stripe's checkout page is run by Stripe, which uses its own cookies to process payments and prevent fraud.
How we use it
- To make, pack and ship your order.
- To email you your order confirmation, download links and tracking.
- To answer your messages and plan custom pieces with you.
- To handle returns, refunds and questions about an order.
- To keep the site and payments secure, and to keep the records we need for tax and accounting.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not add you to a mailing list.
Who we share it with
Only the services that help us run the shop, and only what each one needs:
- Stripe, for payments, discount codes, tax and invoices.
- Resend, which delivers our emails, including order emails and messages sent through our forms.
- The postal service or courier that delivers your parcel (for example USPS), which receives your name and address, and a shipping rate service when we use one.
- The company that hosts our web server.
We may also share information when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as we need them for your order, returns, and our tax and accounting records. Messages from the forms stay in our inbox for as long as we need them to answer you or make your piece.
Your choices
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it when we no longer need to keep it. Just email us. Depending on where you live, local privacy laws may give you further rights, and we will respect them.
Our site is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
